Frost Like Ashes

All I know is that I thoroughly enjoyed this album, this music kicks ass from start to finish, and I can’t be bothered with anyone who would give me some socio-political reason to think otherwise. If you have an open mind, give this band a listen, you won’t be sorry.

Tophet is a strange beast. It can’t quite decide whether it wants to be an intense, face-shredding blackened death fest or gloomy, ominous atmospheric black metal.

Frost Like Ashes have grown a lot better, improved on everything a band could improve on and deliver one of the most interesting Death/Black metal albums in years.

What they give us with this new full-length is nothing other than plenty of blistering black metal and pummeling death metal.

About it being over the top, this band is not Sunday school, and despite some peoples attempts to put Christians who make music into that box were simply not going to comply.

the song they covered is After Forever! This is the first Christian Metal song in the history of western music. What is a Black Metal band doing covering a Christian song? Is it parody? Are they actually a christian band?

Overall a very nice first release, I'm looking forward to hearing a full-length.
